About Tick TacklerMy name is Jennifer Molzen and I am the Tick Tackler of Central New Jersey. I am a mom of two small children, living in rural Bethlehem Township, NJ. My family pets used to bring ticks home on a daily basis. It was so bad, it became a nightly chore to search our 2 children, 3 cats and dog for ticks. And we were finding anywhere from 3 to 12 ticks per day! We were concerned with using the usual products because of their environmental hazards and possible harmful effects to our kids and pets. In researching an alternative, I found some all-natural biological controls. One acts to dehydrate and the other as an insect growth regulator that disrupts the molting process. It is also an egg-laying deterrent and is gentle on beneficial bugs (i.e. ladybugs and earthworms). Traditional pesticides are harsher one our loved ones and can be brought in the house by pets paws and shoes. In addition, these pesticides can get into our water supply as well. The Tick Tackler was developed to provide an evironmentally conscientious alternative way to treat for ticks, but avoid many of the adverse effects of traditional pesticides. My family, animals and I have suffered terribly from 3 major tick-borne diseases (Lyme's, Erlichiosis, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever). Lyme's disease, erlichiosis, babesiosi, and anaplasmosis are all transferred by the deer tick (black-legged tick); Rocky Mountain Spotted fever is transferred by the larger American Dog tick and the brown dog tick. The products Tick Tackler sprays are the same ones that we use in our own backyard and our vegetable garden. |
